Guest Kitchen & Barbecue

Guest Kitchen & Barbecue at Privathotel Riesenbeck – your place for good food & good company

At Privathotel Riesenbeck, self-catering is not a compromise but an experience. Our lovingly equipped guest kitchen and the covered guest barbecue make your stay as flexible as being at home – whether you’re a family, a contractor, a cyclist or a long-stay guest. Here you can cook, chop and grill whenever you like – around the clock, with your own access code and everything you need.

After a bike ride to the Nasses Dreieck, a day at Riesenbeck International or a walk to Surenburg, you can simply switch off here, fire up the grill and make your own dinner.

And if you’d rather be treated than cook, you’ll find plenty of culinary alternatives right on the doorstep in our overview of restaurants and delivery services.

Tip: Round off your evening at the grill with a drink in our 24-hour living room – where a wine bar, long drink station and cosy lounge with Netflix, books & fireplace await you.

Whether you have one more drink in the living room or sit on the terrace with friends – these areas are open to all guests. This creates exactly what we hope for: a place full of encounters, genuine hospitality and easy-going flexibility.

Guest Kitchen & Barbecue – honest, flexible, special

Sometimes the simplest things are the best: cooking something quickly, grilling with friends, rescuing the kids’ dinner or just making your favourite pasta after a long journey – no opening hours, no stress. That’s exactly what our guest kitchen on the intermediate level between the 1st and 2nd floor and the guest barbecue on the covered, lit (and, on request, heated) terrace are for. Everything opens with your four-digit access code – just like your room, the entrances and the EV charging stations. Welcome to your small but fine “holiday flat for a while”.

How it works – in 8 easy steps

Golden rules for relaxed self-catering
1. Access
Open the kitchen door with your four-digit code. A motion sensor switches the light on automatically; tilt the window open for fresh air if needed.
2. Fridge
Please use a labelled compartment (name/room number/departure day). That keeps things organised.
3. Preparation
Choose boards & knives (separate for meat/vegetables), wash your hands. Basic spices are provided.
4. Cooking
Switch on the induction hob, put on a pot/pan, off you go. Baking? Please use baking paper/oil – it saves cleaning.
5. Grilling
On the terrace: turn on the gas, ignite, preheat for 5 min. Please always use a grill mat.
6. Eating
In the kitchen, on the terrace or in the 24-hour living room – wherever it’s cosiest.
7. Cleaning up
Wipe surfaces, brush the grill, empty the grease tray, put the cover on. Dishes to the return area.
8. Rubbish & returns
Separate rubbish (organic • recycling • general waste • paper), put deposit bottles aside. Cutlery & spices back in their place.
