That’s why a varied breakfast buffet awaits you at Privathotel Riesenbeck, with oven-fresh bread rolls, aromatic coffee, egg dishes, fresh fruit and regional products from the Münsterland. Whether you’re on holiday, travelling on business or planning an active weekend of cycling and hiking around Hörstel, the Dörenther Klippen or Lake Torfmoorsee – our breakfast sets you up for the day. When does the breakfast buffet at Privathotel Riesenbeck start?

Our breakfast buffet starts at 6:15 am Monday to Friday and runs until 10 am. At weekends and on public holidays it starts at 8 am and ends at 11 am. That makes it perfect both for business travellers and contractors who set off early and for holiday guests who want to start the morning at a relaxed pace. Would you like a packed lunch? Simply put one together yourself from the buffet for €6.90 – with water or juice. Would you like to have breakfast earlier? Please let us know one day in advance here and we’ll do our best to make it possible.

Is breakfast included in the room rate or does it cost extra?

There are no hidden costs with us – breakfast is already included in the room rate. So you can enjoy our buffet right after getting up without having to worry about extra costs.

Where is breakfast served at Privathotel Riesenbeck?

Breakfast is served in the heart of our house – the 24-hour living room. This unique space combines the atmosphere of a cosy living room with the comfort of a modern hotel. Here you’ll find Chesterfield armchairs, a warm lounge with a fireplace, games, books and Netflix. While you enjoy our breakfast, you can experience the special living-room atmosphere that makes our hotel so distinctive.

Which food and drinks are on the buffet?

Our buffet offers a wide variety:

Baked goods: fresh bread rolls, croissants and bread from the regional bakery
Savoury: various sausages and cheeses, cold cuts, egg dishes
Healthy: fresh fruit, yoghurt, quark, muesli, cereals, nuts
Drinks: coffee, tea, water, orange juice, multivitamin juice
Extras: soup bar with stews from the Junge-Bornholt farm, sweet spreads, honey and small snacks.

So every guest finds something to suit them – from foodies to athletes.

Are there vegetarian or vegan options at the breakfast buffet?

Yes, we take great care to make sure that vegetarian and vegan guests are well catered for too. The buffet always offers plant-based spreads, fresh fruit and vegetables, muesli with plant-based milk alternatives, nuts and vegan snacks. On request, we can also prepare further options.

Where do the breakfast products come from?

We place great value on regional sourcing and freshness. The bread rolls and bread come fresh every day from the local bakery, cheese and cold cuts come from producers in the Münsterland, and many products are homemade or come from regional farms. This way we support the region and guarantee you quality.

Can guests who are not staying at the hotel have breakfast too?

Yes, non-resident guests can also enjoy our breakfast if they ask in advance. As seating is limited, however, we ask for a reservation in advance. That way we can make sure there is enough space and choice.

Are there gluten-free products at the breakfast buffet?

Of course 😊 – on request we offer gluten-free bread rolls and bread. So that we can offer you the best choice, please let us know briefly before your arrival. Then we’ll buy it and have everything ready for you.

What happens if I have to leave very early?

We prepare our breakfast buffet freshly and just in time every morning – the bread rolls come straight from the baker, cold cuts and cheese are freshly arranged. To be able to offer you the usual quality, there is no ready-packed breakfast to take away. You can, however, put together a packed lunch yourself from the buffet for €6.90 – with water or juice.

But here’s the solution: for everyone who has to set off earlier, our coffee and tea station is always available – also to go in a cup for the road. Then head to Triffterer bakery next door. They know about it and will prepare a packed lunch for you, which we pay for. So you can still set off well fed.

Can you enjoy breakfast at Privathotel Riesenbeck in peace and take your time?

Yes – that’s exactly what makes our breakfast so special. We want you to start the day relaxed and without any rush. In our 24-hour living room, the heart of the house, you can take your time at the buffet, enjoy a second coffee or discover a game from the big cupboard.
